Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) constitute a binding contract between you (“you,” “your” or “user”) and Got 2 Be Green Cleaning Inc., a corporation registered in the Province of Alberta (“Got 2 Be Green,” “we”, “us” or “our”) and applies to any and all services (collectively, the “Cleaning Services”) delivered to you by Got 2 Be Green as well as any of its cleaning crew, who each provide services to Got 2 Be Green as independent Temporary Employee.


By scheduling Cleaning Services to be performed by Got 2 Be Green through its  independent Temporary Employee, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms, as revised from time to time. If you do not agree to any of the terms set forth in these Terms, or any subsequent modification to the Terms, you may not utilize the Cleaning Services. 

Satisfaction Guarantee 

If you’re not happy with the quality of Cleaning Services you have received, please notify us within 24 hours. We will come out and re-clean the area that you have identified as deficient (within a 7-day window) for free. We do not offer refunds, except in exceptional circumstances as determined by Got 2 Be Green.

Scope of Services

Got 2 Be Green will provide cleaning services to you, in accordance with the options chosen at the time of booking. Unless specifically instructed, Cleaning Services generally include:

  • Cleaning and dusting of surfaces, including floors, countertops, and furniture
  • Vacuuming of carpets and rugs
  • Mopping of all hard-surface floors
  • Cleaning of bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, tubs, and showers
  • Cleaning of kitchen surfaces, including counters, sinks, and appliances

Unless such services are specifically authorized in writing by Got 2 Be Green, Cleaning Services do not include services that go beyond general household cleaning, including but not limited to the following:

  • Window cleaning
  • Cleaning high up areas that require more than a step stool
  • Deep cleaning of carpets or upholstery
  • Removing permanent stains from furniture, floors, cabinets, carpets, etc.
  • Carpet steam cleaning
  • Washing walls
  • Watering plants
  • Hand-scrubbing or steam cleaning floors
  • Cleaning of any area outside of the home
  • Disassembling of light fixtures, shower doors or seals, furniture or appliances
  • Cleaning that requires the lifting or moving of large fragile items, or items over 25 pounds
  • Cleaning of blood, vomit, urine or feces, whether from humans or pets, including litter boxes and diaper pails
  • Cleaning or removal of excessive mold, needles or other objects deemed to be unsafe to handle

Got 2 Be Green reserves the right to refuse to provide any services that it deems to be unsafe, impractical, or beyond the scope of its cleaners’ abilities. Any collected trash and recycling will be left in the garbage and/or recycling bin at the premises.

Extra Items

Please call us in advance for special requests (for example, cleaning up after construction, refrigerator cleaning, garage, extra rooms, etc.) so we can determine whether such Cleaning Services are available, and if so, schedule the time needed to complete these tasks. We will provide an over the phone estimate, however, we reserve the right to adjust the quote after the job is completed.

Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of booking or upon receiving an invoice. Payment may be made via Credit or Debit online. We reserve the right to refuse to clean your home if payment is not made or you are behind on payments. A first time or one-time cleaning may require pre-payment. 

Accounts that remain outstanding for 30 days will be charged interest at a rate of 2% per month, commencing from the date that the invoice was issued. If a check is returned for NSF, there will be an additional charge of $50.00 and services will be suspended until full payment has been received. Repeatedly not making payment may result in termination of our services.

Fee Changes

We reserve the right to re-evaluate rates at any time based on the time required to perform our service to clean your home in a manner consistent with our cleaning standards. We will monitor the actual cleaning time for the first month and occasionally thereafter. We will contact you to discuss possible price or service revisions if the cleaning time differs substantially from the amount originally agreed upon. We reserve the right to adjust the estimate after the job is completed.

Cleaning Preparation

You are responsible for getting the premises ready for cleaning. This includes ensuring that the following is completed as of the scheduled cleaning time:

  • Surfaces are cleared of small items such as pens, coins, important documents, etc. that you do not want to be touched or cleaned
  • Breakable items, cash, jewelry, heirlooms and other items of value are stored in a secure location
  • Pets are secured, and children are kept in another area
  • If your home is equipped with a security system, it is in the “OFF” position or we are informed of the codes and input sequence before your scheduled cleaning
  • If you would like us to clean behind appliances such as a refrigerator, oven or large sofa, that they are moved prior to the cleaning to allow access to the area to be cleaned

All surfaces (such as marble and granite countertops, hardwood floors, etc.) are assumed to be sealed and ready to be cleaned without causing harm/damage when common cleaners are used.


If you wish to cancel or reschedule an appointment for Cleaning Services, we require at least [24] hours’ prior notice by calling our office or sending an e-mail. If an appointment for Cleaning Services is cancelled less than [24] hours in advance, a cancellation fee of [50%] of that cleaning’s cost will be charged. If an open ended (hourly) cleaning is cancelled less than [24] hours in advance, a cancellation fee of [$75.00] will be charged. This helps to ensure that our cleaners are properly compensated. We appreciate your understanding.

We reserve the right to suspend or cancel a booking if the cleaner(s) are unable to gain access to the premises, the premises is deemed unready or unsafe for cleaning, or there are problems working around other Temporary Employee and/or service providers. In such cases, you will still be responsible for the full cost of the Cleaning Service.

Breakage and Theft

Our cleaners are fully bonded, and do their best to avoid breakage and damage to property or personal property items, however, accidents can happen. Got 2 Be Green and its independent Temporary Employee cleaners will not be responsible for any damage to the premises or to any personal property that is not caused by their gross negligence. 

Cleaners are instructed to call our office at once if ANYTHING is broken, and to leave you a note advising you of the accident. We make every attempt to repair, replace or pay for any items that have been damaged by our Temporary Employee. The value of any broken items must be verified before replacement or reimbursement will be authorized. Please save the broken item for our inspection. Breakage must be reported within 7 days of services being provided.

We will assume no liability for items that are not secured in a proper manner (such as pictures that are not properly secured to the wall), pre-existing damages, scratches, dings in windows, paint, furniture, floors, walls, etc. It is your responsibility to ensure that items of monetary or sentimental value are secured on the day of cleaning.

Although our cleaners are fully bonded as a measure to prevent potential theft, it is still possible that theft could occur. If you suspect theft on the part of a cleaner, or if actual theft has taken place, it is your responsibility to report the incident to our office immediately and to report the theft to the police. We will do our best to assist in the proceedings and to provide any information that may be relevant to the investigation that is within our power and legal authority to provide. You agree that Got 2 Be Green shall not be responsible for any theft, unless it has directly participated in the same, and you hereby agree to save Got 2 Be Green harmless from and against any claims related to the same. 

Limitation of Liability

Got 2 Be Green, as well as its directors, officers, employees, Temporary Employee and agents, shall not be liable to you for any punitive, exemplary, special, indirect, or other damages of any kind or nature arising from the provision of Cleaning Services, or the acts or omissions of third parties related to the same. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Got 2 Be Green’s total liability and obligation to you in the aggregate for all claims arising out of or in any way connected to these Terms and provision of the Cleaning Services, regardless of the form of action or theory of liability (including for breach of contract, tort, negligence, by statute or otherwise), shall not exceed the lesser of $500.00, and the total amount of all Cleaning Services paid for by you in the 3 month period immediately preceding the filing of any claim for damages in a court of competent jurisdiction.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your pets are secured at the time of cleaning. Got 2 Be Green will not be responsible for pets that escape from your home.

Non-Solicitation Agreement

All of our cleaners, who act as independent Temporary Employee, are fully bonded, and trained to provide you with excellent service. It takes a lot of time and money to find, screen and train these Temporary Employees to provide the quality of service that you expect. For this reason, all of our independent Temporary Employees are required to agree to terms of non-solicitation, which prevents them from seeking to contract with homeowners directly, without the involvement of Got 2 Be Green. This non-solicitation period extends while the cleaners are under active contract with Got 2 Be Green, and for a period of 1 year thereafter (the “Non-Solicitation Period”).  

By booking Cleaning Services, you acknowledge the existence of the non-solicitation provision to which our cleaners are bound, as outlined above, and hire our cleaners for the provision of cleaning services during the Non-Solicitation Period. If this provision is breached, a fee of $2500 (for damages) will be assessed against you, which amount is a genuine pre-estimate of the damage to be incurred by Got 2 Be Green as a result of losing your business and having to train a new cleaner. This helps to minimize the risk of unfair solicitation that undermines the good experience all our clients have come to expect. 


If any provision or part these Terms are held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unlawful, void, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions or parts thereof shall be and remain in full force and effect and shall be construed as if the unlawful, void, invalid or unenforceable provision (or part therefor) had been deleted. No presumption shall operate in favour of or against any party hereto as a result of any responsibility that any party may have had for drafting these Terms.

Unexpected Circumstances

Got 2 Be Green shall not be liable for failure to perform, nor be deemed to be in default, under these Terms for any delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to failure of performance by the another party, acts of state or governmental authorities, pandemics, natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, extreme environmental conditions, or power failures. In the event of such delay, the time of completion of services may be extended as agreed mutually between Got 2 Be Green and you to overcome the effect of any such delay.

Entire Agreement 

Except for the details of any specific booking for Cleaning Services, which shall be in addition to and not in substitution for the provisions of these Terms, these Terms represent the entire agreement between you and Got 2 Be Green concerning the Cleaning Services, and supersede all prior agreements between the Parties with respect to the same, whether written or verbal. 


Any amendment or modification of these Terms, or to the scope of Cleaning Services to be provided for any booking, shall not become binding unless agreed upon in writing in writing (e-mail accepted) between you and Got 2 Be Green. For the purposes of clarity, cleaners do not have the authority to contract on behalf of Got 2 Be Green, nor to amend these Terms or the scope of Cleaning Services to be provided during any scheduled cleaning. Any such changes must be communicated and agreed to by Got 2 Be Green in order to be binding. 


We may amend or modify these Terms by providing you with prior notice via e-mail, or posting a notice on the platform utilized for booking Cleaning Services, and the revised Terms shall be effective at such time. Your continued access to the Cleaning Services after such time will constitute acceptance of the revised terms. We may (a) modify or discontinue any portion of the Cleaning Services, and (b) suspend or terminate your access to the Cleaning Services, at any time, and from time to time. You agree that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification or termination of the Cleaning Services, or suspension or termination of your access to the Cleaning Services, except as specifically set out in these Terms.
